We are the members of the Multiplatform Magazine Reporting class at Point Park University, led by journalist and author Bill Moushey. We have spent the Spring 2020 semester collaborating and writing articles about topics that impact all of us. When we first began in the year 2020, we were hopeful about the start of a brand new decade. As our society evolves, and as the years change, we must stare down the challenges and issues of today. Our articles take on some of our problems, some of our hopes and some of our fears. The heart of journalism lies in truth, and this magazine is dedicated to the pursuit of all of our truths.

About halfway into our semester, around the conclusions of our first round of stories, we began to experience the trials of the Covid-19 virus as it infiltrated the United States. Our class was unaware of the impact this disease would have on our time at Point Park. By mid-march, all of our classes reverted to online, and we could no longer meet and collaborate for the magazine. But our pursuit of the truth and determination would not be stopped by our inability to meet on campus.

So together, and with the help of our supportive professor, we have compiled a collection of articles that outline the good and the bad of the new decade. Even though our whole worlds have been shifted due to the unpredictability of the Covid-19 virus, we will continue to stare the threat in the face and write down all we see.
